Bloodshot is a novel based upon the blockbuster film starring Vin Diesel that released on February 21st 2020. Bloodshot: The Official Movie Novelization is in expert hands as the author Gavin Smith has previously written tie-in fiction novels for such major franchises as Crysis and Elite. Meanwhile, the Bloodshot film is directed by David S. F. Confidential and Memento). Vin Diesel is also no stranger to performance capture and voice-overs in videogames having starred in The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay that was previously an Xbox exclusive before being remastered as part of The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, while there is also The Wheelman and multiple The Fast and the Furious videogames. The Bloodshot film itself is actually based upon a major fan-favourite Valiant comic book franchise that has sold millions globally.
The story revolves around a marine named Ray Garrison that is resurrected by a group of scientists after he and his wife are murdered. He is built so as to not have any memories from his previous life as Ray Garrison or his wife, family or friends, but when those memories start resurfacing, alongside the haunting presence of his family’s killer; all orders come second to Bloodshot exacting revenge.
An exceptional quality of writing is consistently present from beginning to end in both Bloodshot and the accompanying short story titled Into the Fire as everything is depicted in such a descriptive manner from expression upon the characters’ faces to their respective surroundings.
Bloodshot: The Official Movie Novelization is well presented with front cover artwork featuring a title logo that is inspired by the film and comic books in front of the character portrayed by Vin Diesel including his likeness stylised with a red tint, alongside an intriguing synopsis and official film credits on the back cover.
Bloodshot: The Official Movie Novelization’s value is for fans of the Bloodshot comic books and the blockbuster film adaptation starring Vin Diesel to be able to experience the story in the form of a novel spanning 51 chapters and an epilogue over the course of 271 pages, alongside the inclusion of the exclusive short story titled Into the Fire from page 275 through to the end of the
