Big Ben and Eko Software are busily working on the first hack n slash video game to take place in the Games Workshop Warhammer Fantasy Battles world. Warhammer: Chaosbane, currently under development, drops the player into the heart of the Old World, a content forever changed by the great war against Chaos, playing one of four iconic Fantasy races against the never-ending hordes of Chaos.
The new trailer below shows, Konrad Vollen, one of the playable characters within Chaosbane. Trained in armed combat from an early age, Konrad Vollen soon rose in the ranks to become an Imperial Captain.
The trailer shows him in all his glory, specialising in melee and area of effect attacks, he can devastate front lines. His shield offers him much-needed protection, and his banners will give himself and any allies significant bonuses. Every character has their own special attack, and Captain Vollen’s uses his shield mastery to devastating effect. He can use it to strike at enemies and to stun them, and his worship of the vengeful god Sigmar means that Konrad Vollen can use more passive and active skills, that can increase his abilities even further.
Warhammer: Chaosbane, take you on a hack ’n’ slash combat trip across well-known Warhammer Fantasy Battles locations. It’s up to you and three friends either locally or online, to work together to defeat the darkness. Use timing and tactics to enhance your strengths and mitigate your weaknesses and to destroy the chaotic armies, stopping their advance by any means possible.
Captain Konrad Vollen is one of the four playable characters in Warhammer Chaosbane, alongside a High Elf, Dwarf and Wood Elf, each with their own set of skills and unique powers. However, they don’t fight alone. Killing the hordes of Chaos fills each heroes Bloodlust meter and when this is full, the players can unleash their rage and activate new, very powerful skills.
Warhammer: Chaosbane is currently under development and will be released on the PS4, xBox One and PC in 2019.
