Were you a big fan of the nineties? I know many of you probably weren’t even born then. For all you oldies out there, you’ll remember the nineties games with a certain amount of romantic reverie.  The nineties covered everything from the Sega Genesis to the Dreamcast. Ahhh so many memories so many late nights. Anyway, if you enjoyed even this brief flashback and are a fan of action-adventure platformers then you may be interested in Hover: Revolt of Gamers developed by Midgar Studio, heading for a Steam release on the 31st May,  2017.

First, take a look at the trailer.

Hover: Revolt of Gamers squashes together parkour and free-running and then injects it all with a fairly healthy dose of adrenaline and several tabs of a psychedelic drug, then tops it all off with a few shots of espresso.

“The game takes place in ECP17, a high-tech city also called Hover City by its inhabitants and based on a distant planet. The Great Admin cut the communication with the Galactic Union and established a strong dictatorship. Having fun became illegal and entertainment is banished.

You’re in charge of a team of young rebels, the Gamers, fighting against the new anti-leisure laws oppressing the city. Equipped with high-tech gears allowing amazing jump and speed, they roam the city to sabotage the propaganda, help citizens, and find a way to reach the Orbital Station. This way they could warn the Galactic Union and put an end to the oppression.”
